Employability Session for Class of 24/25 Master’s Students
New groups of the International MBA, Master in Digital Marketing, Master in Marketing Management and Master's Degree in International Trade & Business kicked off on the 23rd of September with an employability session to provide the students with essential tools to ease the transition from the classroom to a work environment. The event began with a comprehensive overview of the Career Services our Professional Development Unit offer, including:
- Online Employability Itinerary: A step-by-step guide available in the virtual classroom, designed to boost career readiness.
- Employability Sites: Resources and platforms for job searching and career development.
- Legislation for International Students: Critical insights on visa and work regulations to help international students navigate the job market.
- Counselling: Personalized career advising to help tailor career paths.
- Upcoming Career Fair: "Meet Your Employment" – a major opportunity to connect with top employers.
The session was highlighted by a Masterclass on Employability led by Mónica Peñaranda, Strategy, People & Culture Director at Farlabo, who covered key topics like:
- Defining your professional aim: Identifying and refining career goals.
- Resume design and LinkedIn positioning: Tips for creating standout resumes and leveraging LinkedIn for visibility.
- Job search strategy: Initiative-taking methods for finding the right opportunities.
- New recruitment trends: Insights into emerging trends in hiring practices.
The session was designed to equip recent graduates and those preparing to enter the workforce with actionable strategies for career success. Whether they are refining their job search or building a professional network, this event was a valuable stepping stone towards achieving career goals.
